Explore shifting boundaries, unusual projections and old Chicago street names. Dating from 1493 to the mid-20th century, DePaul's map collections contain cartographic creations by early modern mapmakers and printers such as Münster, Ortelius, Mercator, and Jansson and progress through Bonne's new global representations for Diderot's 1788 Encyclopédie to the transit and tourism routes of Chicago's Century of Progress and beyond.
Original maps are held in DePaul's Special Collections and Archives Department. This site will be updated as more map resources are scanned.
